Mäpt ánjä-prip (/ə˞ˈnjɑ/ /prip/ [young] [offer]) is a temperate Small Town located in the Digitznä Principality of the City-state of Nika.

The name Mäpt ánjä-prip is derived from the Gnollish language, as Mäpt ánjä-prip was founded by Lahgo vyim Rolɑrtɑrusg, who was culturaly Gnollish.

Climate

Mäpt ánjä-prip has a yearly average temperature of 0°C (32°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 27°C (80°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold -27°C (-16°F). Overview

Mäpt ánjä-prip was founded durring the early 12th century in summer of the year 1141, by Lahgo vyim Rolɑrtɑrusg. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Lahgo vyim Rolɑrtɑrusg.

Mäpt ánjä-prip was built using the conventions of Gnollish durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Mäpt ánjä-prip is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Mäpt ánjä-prip is buildings are arranged arround a network of spacious worn bedrock streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks and fences to provide minimal protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. The town's somewhat suffishent are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

Mäpt ánjä-prip is not quite well. Something happened here, perhapse recently, perhapse long ago. Whatever it was, it settled into the very soul of the town like a festering wound. The people go about their day well enough, but there’s a tention in the air you can cut with a knife.

Cultural Notes

Mäpt ánjä-prip's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by order, symmetry, formal design, grandiosity, and elaborate ornamentation. Architectural characteristics include balustrades, balconies, columns, cornices, pilasters, and triangular pediments. Stone exteriors are massive and grandiose in their symmetry; interiors are typically polished and lavishly decorated with sculptures, swags, medallions, flowers, and shields. Interiors will often have a grand stairway and opulent ballroom..
